After graduating from Rice, I worked for Microsoft for nearly two years in e-commerce and HR tech. I left back in May to jump full-time into my side project, SportsTrace. We’re an early-stage computer vision startup that takes ordinary cell phone video of athletes and extracts their body position in three dimensions to provide them with actionable insights and analysis about their technique to help them improve. Our initial target market is in college baseball and we’ve been working closely with several universities (including Rice) as well as Major League Baseball teams and individuals in other sports all around the world.
