Applied Machine Learning & Data Science Projects
In this project-based course, student teams will complete semester-long, real-world data science research or analysis projects selected from a variety of industries and disciplines. Students will also learn best practices in data science.
DSCI 435 / 535 & COMP 449 / 549 - Students work on client-facing teams with sponsors from Rice, the Texas Medical Center, government, non-profits, or companies.
DSCI 400 - Students work on non-client facing teams and student-defined projects.

Data Science Consulting
Students in this course will advise clients from Rice and beyond in a data science consulting clinic, while learning best practices in consulting and gaining exposure to a wide variety of real data science problems.

D2K Fellowships are awarded to postdocs and advanced PhD students through a competitive selection process.
