Covid-19 Houston Datathon

Overview

As the number of COVID-19 cases increases, robust risk prediction and communication is urgently needed in Houston. Therefore, School of Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth, partnered with Rice University's D2K Lab, is hosting a data science competition for COVID-19 prediction using datasets collected from the greater Houston area. 

Goal

The goal of the COVID-19 Houston Datathon is to encourage medical researchers, data scientists, students and any brilliant minds from diverse backgrounds to participate in the competition and predict the risks of COVID-19. 

Details

  • Eligibility: Students who are enrolled full-time at a Texas University
  • Registration Deadline: 8/25/2020 
  • Awards: Up to $1,500 in cash prizes

In addition to winning awards, participants will have the opportunities to collaborate with UT Health researchers and Rice professors to make an impact and help the Houston community!
