(NEW) Master of Data Science Degree Program
Rice's Department of Computer Science partnering with the D2K Lab has launched the new Master of Data Science (MDS) degree program with on-campus and online learning options.
The MDS program is a professional, non-thesis degree designed to support the needs of interdisciplinary professionals. Taught by world-class faculty, the program offers students online or on-campus options.
The D2K Lab will offer a cornerstone of the Rice MDS program, the Data Science Capstone experience. In the D2K Capstone, MDS students will apply all the skills they have learned throughout their program by working on interdisciplinary teams to solve real-world data science challenges in collaboration with external partners. The D2K Lab will also be offering several other required and elective courses as part of the new MDS program, including the online specialization in machine learning.
